Tessera Executive Search respects your privacy. As our core business is executive search, we require some personal information from candidates to assist us in ascertaining their suitability for the role for which they have applied and for future roles. We are also in a privileged position, with both our clients and candidates sharing confidential information, which enables effective communication to ensure the right client/candidate "fit" is achieved. A resume and/or any other personal information will only be disclosed to a prospective employer once the candidate has given his/her consent.
What Is Personal Information and Why We Request It
Personal information is any information about you as an identifiable individual, including name, address, age, gender, income, marital status, finances, health, current employment and compensation package and previous employment history and compensation package, as well as personal references.
If you are a candidate, we gather this information to provide our Consultants with the data they need to determine your qualifications and interest to be referred to either a specific client for a specific position, or to other clients who may retain our firm to recruit an individual with similar interests andqualifications to yours. A Tessera Executive Search representative will contact you prior to presenting any information to a prospective employer.
If you are a client who has retained Tessera Executive Search to recruit candidates for your organization, we request information from you so we can do a thorough search and discuss your needs, expectations, organizational culture and other pertinent issues with potential candidates.
If you are a reference for one of our candidates, we will ask you to answer specific questions to validate the information we have about the candidate and to probe their skills and experience pertaining to the role in question, which assists our clients in their selection process.
How We Collect Personal Information
If you are a candidate the majority of information we collect comes directly from you. With your consent, we may also gather information about you from third parties to help us assess your eligibility and suitability for positions that we are recruiting for on behalf of our clients.
We do not obtain such third-party information or provide this information to clients without your consent. However, if you do not provide such consent, we may not be able to present you to our client as a candidate for the position in question.
When Personal Information is Released
Your personal information is only released to outside parties under these circumstances:
With Your Consent: we will disclose your personal information to our clients with your prior consent.
When Required or Permitted By Law: in certain circumstances the law may require or permit Tessera Executive Search to disclose your personal information without your knowledge or consent. This could occur if required to comply with a subpoena, warrant or court order, or if requested by a government institution that has the lawful authority to obtain the information.
In exceptional circumstances, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal information if we believe, in good faith, that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable to protect Tessera Executive Search's interests. We will seek to ensure that any proposed disclosure is required in the circumstances and then ensure that only the required information is disclosed.
Information gathered is only used for the purpose for which it is intended and will not be sold or licensed to any outside party. For our clients, the same standard of information privacy is exercised.

We protect your personal information with appropriate safeguards against unauthorized access and use. If we provide information in response to a legal inquiry or order, we ensure that the order is valid and will only disclose the information that is legally required.
We retain your personal information only for as long as it is required for the reasons it was collected or as required by law. This may extend beyond the end of your relationship with us, but only for thelength of time it is legally necessary for us to have sufficient information to respond to any issue that may arise at a later date. When your personal information is no longer needed or required, we have procedures in place to destroy, delete, erase or convert it to an anonymous form.
